My parents gets a bunch of Vietnamese magazines and this one recently caught my eye. It's very summery and fun to wear. The pop of teal on the eyes and the fuchsia lips looked so pretty to me. This look is simple to do too.
(I didn't have a scanner or my camera with me. Sorry about the bad quality!)
Products Used & Steps -
Face - Laura Mercier Radiance Primer (sample)
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Medium Beige
Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 6.0
In picture of the cover, her skin is photoshopped to be incredibly smooth. I could not do that in real life, and so I tried to recreate a very smooth face with a dewy and radiante finish. I used the Laura Mercier Radiance Primer all over my face and then put on a thin layer of the Revlon foundation. I then put on a thin layer of the Urban Decay foundation so that I could have more coverage all over my face without it being too cake-y. The UD foundation is thinner than the Revlon foundation, but has more coverage.
Eyes - Urban Decay Primer Potion (Original)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Electric
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Minx (Discontinued. I do recommend using a different teal shadow. It has chunky glitter pieces.)
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Longue (Discontinued by Wet n' Wild's Comfort Zone Palette has a great dupe. I also hear MAC's Club eyeshadow is a great dupe for this too)
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof Mascara in Very Black
Lancome's Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base (Review Here)
I put on a thin layer of the UDPP on my eyes. I then put on a thick line of Electric as close to my lash line as possible. I patted on the Minx eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner to set it and make it a bit more vibrant. In the picture, I could see a bit of a reddy brown color in the crease. Longue has a red brown base with a teal duochrome. I blended this color to above my crease and even mixed Minx up so that the teal duochrome would show up more. The last step for the eyes was to put on mascara! Hye Tran has a lot of mascara on her upper and lower lashes. I tried to really build up the volume, but I did tone it down a bit because I still wanted to wear this look out.
In case you're wondering about the brows, I intentionally didn't take a picture of the products I used because I just recommend doing your brows however you want. I just filled in my brows because Hye Tran's brows were filled in. Hye Tran's brows are very straight and short. Straight brows tend to look more youthful.
Lips - Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick in 5 Fuschia in Excess
This lipstick was the closest I had to was this YSL lipstick. I'm sure that there are other dupes of this color. I patted on a bit of this lipstick and then blended it all over my lips. This YSL lipstick is sheer, but I wanted it to be an even sheerer color.
Have fun with this summery look!
(This is not a sponsored post or anything like that. I just happened to have a lot of Urban Decay stuff that worked with this look)
