7 Deadly Sins // Lust & Envy Makeup Looks

I recently entered a makeup contest on Reddit (Specifically on this subreddit! They're so many amazing people in this subreddit) and the theme was the Seven Deadly Sins.

My makeup looks weren't that creative, but I am proud of them. From the title, you probably know that I did Envy and Lust.

I just wanted to share them on my blog (:

I didn't win the contest, but I did win one of the smaller prizes in a raffle. The winning look was amazing and way more creative than my look though.

Comment if you want to know the products!

Color Spectrum Series: Purple Edition!

The purples! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

I've slowly been building up my plums and purples. They're really nice for fall and winter, but I also like wearing brighter ones during spring (like the Rimmel lipstick).

Review & Swatches: Tarte's Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave Princess (from the Golden Opportunity Tarte-To-Go Kit)

This review is on Tarte's Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave Princess, but I bought the mini size from the Golden Opportunity Tarte-To-Go Kit, which cost $10. (My friend and I split the kit because I only wanted the bronzer.) This product contains 0.11 oz of product. The full sized product is called a Mineral Powder Bronzer and contains 0.32 oz of product for $29. Sephora/Tarte described the color as a "highly pearled light yellow gold." I would describe it as a medium brown/bronze base with a light gold sheen.

Review & Swatches: Clinique's Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in 03 Mightiest Maraschino

Clinique's Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Mightiest Maraschino (whew. long name) contains .10oz / 3 grams of product. It is described as a "classic red" but I would describe it as more of a bright red with very little pink in it. It retails for $16.

EOTD - June 13, 2013 // Be Cool!

I usually gravitate towards warm bronze-y browns. I feel like they're more flattering on me. I have so many nude palettes and about half of the colors are cool browns. I wanted to change it up a bit, but still have a neutral look and decided to do this simple eye look.

My friend gifted me the NYX palette for Christmas and I wanted to start using it again. The colors aren't as pigmented as Urban Decay's shadows, but it's still a great palette. There are also lip colors included in this palette. I highly recommend this palette to those who don't want to buy Urban Decay's Naked Palettes. This NYX palette has colors from the first Naked Palette and also from theBalm's Nude 'Tude palette.

I needed to pack on the NYX shadows onto my lids, but they were easy to work with besides that.

Color Spectrum Series: Blue Edition!

The blues! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Navy blues are supposed to make the whites of the eyes look more white. I don't like going too dark on my eyes, but I like the effect blues give to my eyes. It's a nice change from black and brown.

Review & Swatches: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Smog

Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Smog contains 0.04 oz of product and retails at $19. Urban Decay describes the color as a "copper shimmer." To me, it looks like a bronzy copper color with golden shimmer. It looks exactly like the eyeshadow color.

Color Spectrum Series: Green Edition!

The greens! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Ever since Sephora + Pantone Universe  announced that emerald was the color of the year, I've been interested in getting more greens and into my makeup. I bought Urban Decay's Loaded Eyeshadow after remembering that Jen from Frmheadtotoe said that it was a great alternative to black for a smokey eye. Ever since then, I've been loving how this color has given me some extra definition to my eyes.

Review & Swatches: OCC Lip Tar in Grandma

The OCC Lip Tar in Grandma is described as a "classic coral." OCC Lip Tars contain .33 fl. oz / 10 mL or product. This product can best be described as a liquid lipstick. The Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics website says that this product "has the longevity of a lipstick with the ease of a lipgloss."

Review: CVS Pharmacy Nail Polish Remover (Sponge Jar)

CVS Pharmacy's Nail Polish Remover (the jar sponge version) contains 9 fl. oz of product for $3.29. This product is similar to Sephora's Instant Nail Polish Remover and Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. It's a giant sponge soaked in nail polish remover. What stands out with this product is that there's a sponge attached to a wire so that you can use it to clean your toes too.

Color Spectrum Series: Yellow Edition!

The yellows! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Yellows are a bit hard for me to incorporate into my makeup. I have a lot of yellow into my skin and sometimes it can look old. I've found some products that work well with my skin tone without look too odd on me.

Quick Morning Face Routine!

Finals have started for me and I don't have that much time in the morning to get ready. I've been staying up later and I'm always rushing in the morning so that I can squeeze in some extra studying time. I've been mostly using these products to help me look presentable.

Color Spectrum Series: Orange Edition!

The oranges! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Orange/Tangerine was such a big trend last year, but I still see it everywhere, especially now during spring. I love incorporating this color into my look and am constantly on the lookout for new orange products.

Review & Swatches: Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bronze Have More Fun

Benefit Cosmetics's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bronze Have More Fun contains 0.16 oz of product and retails for $20. It is described as an "antique bronze." When worn on the lids, it is a golden bronze with a slight gold shimmer. It can be used as a liner, too.

The consistency is thin and so you can layer it on to be opaque or just a hint of color. This product glides on like a dream. I like to use a thin layer as a base when I want to add more colors. As a base, this is great for other neutral colors. I love pairing this with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Smog. They're very close in color, but Smog is more golden. For those days when I need to do my makeup quickly, I just swipe on 2-3 layers and I'm good to go. The amount of my product on my finger shown below in the pictures is enough to cover by eyelids.

FOTD - May 31, 2013

**I know that I'm not posting this on the same day that I actually wore this look, but I'm mass editing a bunch of pictures and forgot about these. Sorry! I

Face - Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 6.0. bareMinerals Mineral Viel.

Eyes - Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bronze Have More Fun all over the lid and lower lashline (review here). Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Nude + Urban Decay Half Baked eyeshadow in the inner corner. CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara in Very Black + Lancôme's Cils Booster XL Super Enhancing Mascara Base (review here).

Lips - Stila Long Wear Lip Liner in Passionate all over the lips. MAC Viva Glam I on top (review here).

I started wearing glasses recently and I wanted to show off my lips because the glasses hid most of my eyes. I put a gold-y color in the inner corner to make sure my eyes looked bright too. It's been really hot recently and I've been wearing less makeup. I also didn't want to sweat and half makeup + sweat on my glasses, so I didn't put that much concealer around my eyes/nose area. What have you guys been wearing lately?

Color Spectrum Series: Red Edition!

The Reds! Don't know what the Color Spectrum Series is? Click here!

Red lips are my absolute favorite. The color red itself is also one of my favorite colors. It was very hard for me to narrow down what I loved from this color.
