Inglot AMC Blush #58 Sneak Peak and First Impression!

I recently went to Inglot and picked up this blush and an eyeshadow. I originally looked up blush swatches online so that I would know which ones to look out for, but I ended up ignoring it.

Instead I got this blush from their freedom system. My first impression of this blush was that it was powdery and there would be a lot of fallout. I'm actually going to put this in my unii palate, and so I'm probably going to have to clean my palate a bit after I use this blush.

This blush is a kind of dusty rose color. Some online blogs have described it as a dark pink or a brownish red color. It's definitely a darker blush color, though.

After using this blush for awhile, I'll post a more descriptive blog with swatches.

Beauty Tip: Keeping the basics together!

I used to be really bad at keeping my lip balm with me and even if it was with me, I had trouble finding it in my bag. My bags aren't usually big either. One day, I saw my friend take out something and her lip balm was inside. She had a zebra print lipstick holder. I thought that was very smart and cute. Since then, I went on a hunt to find a cute one for myself.

I could have bought one online, but I already knew that they weren't really that expensive and so I wasn't willing to spend more than $2 on one. Finally, I found one in an Asian store for $1! My lipstick holder is covered by a satin cloth with some flowery embroidery. I saw other lipstick holders all made from the same material, but I liked this one the most. There's also different designs, like this one, that can be found online.

As you can see in the above picture, it looks ~~Asiannn. My friends make fun of me because it's so pink, girly, and "Asian," but I'm not bothered by it. I think it's cute. I have used this for about a year already and there's some loose threads, but it works just fine.

Click the "Read More" to read and see what I have inside.

Review & Swatches: the Balm Girls Lipstick in Amanda Kissmylips

*screencaped from their website: www.thebalm.com

The Balm Girls Lipstick in Amanda Kissmylips is described as a sheer maroon berry on their website. It is $17 for 4 grams or 0.14 ounces of product.

I love the packaging of this lipstick. I also love the packaging for other theBalm products. TheBalm Girls Lipsticks' names and packaging are parodies of James Bond. I thought that was really cute and creative. The packaging of the actual lipstick is silver. The packaging reminds of MAC lipstick packaging.

Birchbox: May 2012

This month is the first month of my subscription. The only reason why I got this is because it was supposed to be a special "Gossip Girl" version. In all honesty, I wasn't that pleased with my box. I don't feel like I've wasted $10 dollars, but I could have used that $10 for something else.

I've seen some other boxes and I was really hoping that I would get a Stila eyeliner to replace my UD one. Unfortunately, I did not get that.

My box was shipped on the 9th of May and arrived on the 17th.

When I opened my box, there was a card describing this month's box.

Behind the card, it provided information on the full size products.
Under the card were the samples.

The thing is, I was excited about the BB Cream, but when I tried to test it out, I found out that my tube was empty. That was very disappointing.

I then began to open the pink tissue paper. I was already disappointed and so I was indifferent to the rest of the things.

I love lip balm and the Sugar Rose is very expensive, and so I liked that I got that. This lip balm is probably the only thing I'm excited about. I have 2 sample sizes from Sephora's birthday gift and so I already knew what this product was like. It's not my favorite lip balm, but I don't hate it either.

And now I'll start introducing the products. Warning: This blog post is very picture heavy.

Review and Swatches: Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Sabbath

This review is on Urban Decay's 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Sabbath. On Urban Decay's website, they describe this color as a "deep, matte navy." This product is $19 for 1.7 mL / 0.058 fl oz.

The applicator is a brush tip. It is very thin and so you can control how thin or thick the line is. You have to shake the eyeliner before applying. If you don't, it might come out as pigmented as it's supposed to be. That being said, the color is pigmented. It dries down to a completely matte finish. It wears all day, but it does flake a bit near the end of the day though.

Review & Swatches: Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter

First blog post, how exciting.
*For some reason, when I took the above photo, my camera make everything more blue.

Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter: In the pot, the lip butter is a deep red color. As shown in the swatches, this product is sheer red and has just the right amount of gloss. The consistency is very gel-like and went on smooth. There is not a lot of color, but when I look at my whole face, the color brightens my face a little bit. This lip butter hydrated my lips and is very lightweight. After 3 hours, my lips didn't feel dry and the color and shine were still there.
