Review & Swatches: Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Shimmer Palette in Rose Champagne Glow

Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Shimmer Palette in Rosé Champagne Glow is exactly what it sounds like - a pinky champagne colored highlighter. It's a baked product and so it can be used wet or dry to give a flattering pearl finish to the skin. It contains 0.4 oz / 11.3 grams and the price retails for around $5 depending on what store you go to.

The product is marbled and so each one is slightly different. I chose the one on the right so that I could have more of that warm pinky glow.

The packaging is a lightweight plastic and so I'm worried about it breaking easily. It's a bit bulky for my taste, but there's so much product that I'll accept the extra amount of packaging.

From L to R -
With a fluffy brush
Finger swatch swirled throughout the palette
Finger swatch more focused on the pinky/orangey parts of the palette (the right side)

On the top picture, I have nothing on my cheeks. On the bottom, I put it on my cheekbones and you can slightly see a shimmery pinky champagne glow. I'm super annoyed at my pictures because the glow is more obvious in person but so hard to picture because of the reflective aspect of the product.

So here's more pictures! Again, it's on my cheekbones. The shimmer is very fine, which I was surprised about. The first few swatches I did had some glitter pieces but it disappeared and left behind beautiful fine shimmers.

The product itself is hard, but is a bit powdery if you sweep your brush around it too much. I use ELF's Complexion Brush to brush it on top of the right half of the product a few times and then brush it on my cheeks. Simple and easy to do!

The shimmer does fade a bit, but just as much as my NARS Highlighter in Albatross or theBalm Mary Lou-Manizer. Just for reference, Rose Champagne Glow is not as BAM! as Mary Lou-Manizer and so it's easy to just brush on and not worry about it looking too crazy. A bit of shimmer transfers to other parts of my face, but it's mostly because I do put my hands on my face a lot.

You can definitely layer it on too. If you're pale enough, I believe that this can be used as a highlighting blush as well. I can't test this because I have a medium (MAC NC35 / Missha M Perfect BB Cream in #27 / Maybelline Dream Smooth Foundation Natural Beige) skin tone.

When I don't want the pinky tones showing up as much, I just use my brush to go over the more champagne side. The product is as big as my palm and so there's enough space to void certain colors if I wanted to.

Final thoughts: I highly recommend this highlighter! It gives a very nice glow and you don't have to worry about looking greasy or like a glitter bomb exploded on your face. It's perfect for highlighter newbies and makeup lovers in general. The pinky rosey shade to the highlighter can give a hint of color to the face as well. There's also so much product for such a good price that I want everyone to just try it out.

  1. You can definitely see the sheen in photos! I love obvious highlighters, and this one is so pretty up close and on. Pity we don't have Wet n Wild in australia :(. I always thought it was a funny brand name though hehe

  2. Ohh, that's good! I sometimes stare at my pictures for too long deciding which one looks better that my eyes kind of get crazy.

The name is so ridiculous, but makes me laugh hahaha I feel like Wet N Wild has really stepped up their game in the past few years and I hope that they can branch out to other countries as well. The quality might not be the best, but they're amazing for the price point.

  3. This is definitely a gorgeous product. I personally would never buy or own more than one or two highlighting products because it's going to take a while to go through! I love that pink sheen, it's nicely noticeable on your cheeks! Yet it's not too shimmery or pink. I personally own the mary lou but I use it only under my brows and on my eyes, rarely on the cheeks or face! ^^

  4. I can definitely see a glow. I quite like it because it looks subtle -- although you said it shows more in person. Wet & Wild has such fantastic prices too.

  5. I keep buying highlighting powders for some reason. I kind of understand buying tons of bronzer/contour powders, but yeah, I have a problem. :D

Mary Lou is so great! It can be a bit intense, but I also really love that effect.

  6. Yay! I was worried that it wouldn't translate that well on camera. If you use a fluffier brush, you can keep it subtle! I want to get some wet n wild lipsticks, but I hear that the packaging is horrible.

  7. Argh, photographing makeup on the face is generally hard, because WHY WON'T THE COLOURS SHOW UP PROPERLY???? Anyways, a little sad that Canadian Walmarts don't carry the Wet n Wild Fergie line, because I've been wanting to try their eyeshadow primer for the longest time, and there are other products in the range (like this highlighter) that I would definitely love to try out!

I love Wet n Wild's Bronzer 'Reserve Your Cabana' for highlighting, bUT SERIOUSLY, WNW NEEDS TO TONE IT DOWN WITH HOW MUCH PRODUCT THEY DUMP INTO THEIR PANS. 11.3 GRAMS? YOU'LL HAVE THAT 4 LYFE.

  8. WHY COLORS. I WANT YOU TO LOOK AS PRETTY IN PHOTOS TOO. Ugh, duochromes and flitters are the worst to photograph too. I got my Wet n WIld stuff from Target, but I heard that the Targets in Canada are all shutting down :(

A part of me loves the amount of product... but it makes me feel like I'm wasting it because I'll never run out.

  9. I go every week too... sometimes twice a week. I don't even understand how I can go to Target that much. I don't even live in Canada and I feel the pain as well.

  10. I FEEL YA. STOCK DOESN'T CHANGE, AND YET I'M STILL THERE!
On the upside, it is totally motivation for me to finally get my driving license...so I can go to American Targets ._. #sadlyfe

  11. Driving is terrifying. It's okay... you can lag on getting a license hahaha I've had mine for about 3 years and I still can't comfortably go on the freeway

  12. Well, I've technically had my driving license for...nearly 3 years now too, BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY/FREEWAY. I NEED SOME LIQUID COURAGE.

(Because where I live, we split it up the license into driving in the 'city' roads/local roads and highway, so I can only drive on the former because I don't have my full license yet)

  13. i hate that we don't get these in canada. or at least finding them is like the preverbal needle.

  14. Wet n Wild needs to expand more! A lot of their items are cult products for people and I feel like their price range will do well in other countries too.

  15. So we're twinsies hahahahhaha and that's pretty cool how your license system is set up! I feel like there should be a test on how to drive on the freeway because people (including me) are so bad at it!!
