Review & Swatches: Life's Entropy Lip Theory in Big Bang Theory

Life's Entropy Lip Theory in Big Bang Theory is described as "a dark vampy red with slight brown undertones." Lip Theories can be used on the lips and cheeks. They're highly pigmented liquid lipsticks and set to a satin finish. They also have the ability to stain the lips. Lip Theories contain 10 grams and retail for $8.00 each, but Life's Entropy does offer sample sizes like all their other products.

Lip Theories are packaged in a squeeze tube like OCC Lip Tars. They're thinner and longer though. They also come with a slanted doe foot applicator and both are placed in a small baggie.

The background has a weird tinge even though it's supposed to be white, but the color of the lip theory is accurate. It is a dark vampy red like how Life's Entropy describes.

For some reason, I thought I saw tiny shimmers but it doesn't show up on the lips at all. Similar lip product colors that I can think of are Viva Glam I by MAC, but that's matte. Big Bang Theory also looks like it has a very tiny bit of plum in it like how Makeup Forever Natural Rouge Lipstick in N48 looks on me, but that's a tiny bit more glossy.

Dark reds suit me more than other types of lipsticks and the finish of this lip product is perfect. Mattes can sometime be too drying or make my lip lines very apparent. I did notice some bleeding, but it was very minimal. I noticed it around 4 hours in and it didn't extend out more than what was already there.

Like I have mentioned in my past posts, my lips have been very bad lately. It was still sensitive, but I couldn't wait to try this out. Surprisingly, this lip product didn't irritate or make my lips feel dry/itchy at all even though that's all they've been feeling lately. I wore it for about 7-8 hours, but it could've lasted for longer. Most of the fading was due from eating and repeatedly drinking water. I just wanted to shower and remove my makeup already because the hot weather was making me feel gross.

After 7-8 hours
It did cling onto certain dry spots, but it's because I haven't been scrubbing or exfoliating my lips. The product didn't make the dry spots / flakes more apparent and could only be noticed if you were close to my face.

You need a lip brush or even just the doe foot applicator for this product. It is so pigmented that any mistake will show. I needed two tiny dots - the first application was just to get the shape right, but it wasn't opaque enough for me and so I used a smaller dot to make the color deeper.

Final Thoughts: This color in general is one of my favorite lip colors and also very flattering on almost every skin tone. I like the formula a lot better than the OCC Lip Tars, but I have only tried Grandma. I will be using a lip liner in the future though because it's very pigmented so mistakes do show very easily. I did notice some bleeding, but it was very minimal. I didn't find that it went onto my teeth or even randomly on my face. Big Bang Theory lasted for a long time, but I would still touch up after eating and drinking. I saw some other swatches of their other colors and I plan to get more since they're so affordable with amazing quality.

  1. WOWIE the color is just freaking stunning and how it wears over all that time is amazing! I own one lip tar from them but haven't worn it, I really should wear it more often!
