Review & Swatches: Benefit Cosmetics Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Palette + GIVEAWAY IS OVER!

Benefit Cosmetics Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Palette contains 6 powder products and one cream highlight, Watt's Up (1.6 grams). There are 5 blushes which are Dandelion (4.0 grams), Bella Bamba (5.0 grams), Sugarbomb (6.0 grams), Coralista (5.0 grams), and Rockateur (5.0 grams). The only matte product is the bronzer, Hoola (5.0 grams), which is a cult favorite from the brand. The sizes of the blushes and bronzer vary, but you do get a good amount of each. The whole palette retails for $36 and is limited edition.

The packaging is metal and the insert with the products is removable so that the outside part can be used again. Watt's Up and the included brush can also be removed though. The thing that makes this not as wonderful as other blush palettes released is that there's no mirror. A tiny compact could've been placed where the brush or Watt's Up is to make it perfect.

L to R -

Dandelion is a soft pink highlighting blush with golden shimmer. It's a very light pink and I'm so surprised that it even showed up on me. Granted that it is just a hint of color on my MAC NC35 / MUFE HD Foundation in #127 skin color though. It does show up a lot more when I build it up, but I like just putting on enough to give my face some life back.

Bella Bamba is one that I was excited about because it has been discontinued. It is a bright watermelon pink with shimmer and some glitter. The highlighted sheen this gives is a lot more than Dandelion and can emphasize pores if used too much. This is the brightest pink that I own since I think pinks look off on me, but this has enough red that it works for my complexion.

Sugarbomb is interesting because it's 4 colors mixed together. Benefit says the blush is made up of "rose, shimmering pink, soft plum, and peach" and it looks like a cross between Dandelion and Bella Bamba on my cheeks but with more glitter. The color doesn't show up on me as much for some reason but does give a nice highlighted effect. Benefit calls this a facial powder though and not a blush.

Hoola is one of my favorites and I even have a deluxe version of this that has lasted me months. When I look at it in the pan, it looks more yellow but can swatch more neutral / cool toned. I can use it as a contour, but then on the high points, it adds warmth. It's a nice balance in tone so that I can use it all of my face and not look weird. It's the only matte product in the palette.

Coralista is a warm coral pink, but that just means an orangey pink blush to me. Like the other blushes I have mentioned, it has shimmer in it but it is more fine than Bella Bamba or Sugarbomb. Again, I thought orangey blushes looked weird on me but this looked really nice because it's not a bright orange.

Rockateur has repeatedly been mentioned on my blog it is a rosey neutral blush with a sheen. It's not shimmery, but adds a glow. It's one of my all time favorite blushes to wear because it goes with everything.

Hoola lasts the longest on me and I believe it's because it's matte. Rockateur (both the single blush and palette version) last about 6-8 hours depending on what I'm doing. After a 8 hour Black Friday shift, there was a hint of color but mostly shimmer on my cheeks left. Bare in mind, I usually go light handed on my blush because it's something I'm newer in. The other blushes also lasted about the same on my face and lasts longer with the help of setting sprays.

There is that "Benefit Boxed Blushes" smell included in the product and I don't know what it is. Everyone tells me how wonderful it is, but I don't really have an opinion on it. It is fragrant, but not enough for me to steer away from it.

Watt's Up is a luminous champagne cream highlighter. I don't use this in conjunction to the included blushes because they already have enough of a sheen for me on a normal day, but combining this with Hoola will give such a beautiful and easy contoured look. There is no glitter and just fine shimmer. It's not my favorite highlighter, but it is a great choice. There is no smell from this product like the blushes.

Hoola is used as contour with Bella Bamba on my cheeks.

I tend to avoid blush on the apples of my cheeks but you can still see the Bella Bamba's color and glow showing.

As much as I want to, I won't be posting full faced cheek swatches (right now) because the sudden rain that's ruining all of my chances of better lighting and this palette is almost sold out everywhere! I immediately snatched up the last palette and it's sold out online. I believe Macy's website still has it though, but the best chances of getting this is going into stores and picking it up there. If you are interested in any of the specific colors, I can post up a separate post with swatches there or just include them in my FOTD posts.

& On to the fun part! MY FIRST GIVEAWAY!

I managed to snatch up one of the Black Friday Ulta Exclusive Benefit One Hot Bamba kit that includes full sizes of Bella Bamba Blush (8 grams / 0.28 ounces) and Ulta Plush Gloss (15.0 mL / 0.5 US fl. oz.). Considering that the blush is discontinued and almost impossible to find (more impossible than the Cheeky Sweet Spot palette) I decided to pick this up to give to one of my readers.

Since this is my first giveaway, I expect some bumps along the way but I will try my best. I will be opening this up internationally and anyone over the age of 18 can win. If you are under 18, please ask your parents for their permission to give me your address.

The rules will be simple -
You have to follow me on Bloglovin' and leave a comment below telling me what your favorite blush is! Only one comment per person will be counted as an entry.

  2. Coygirl looks so pretty! I saw that it was discontinued, which is such a shame. I don't think it would personally fit me, and so I'm jealous that you can wear it.

  4. I thought that too.... but I'm such a sucker for cute packaging that I couldn't help it. hahahha I would've preferred sleeker packaging and a mirror like the NARS Guy Bourdin palette, but the Cheeky Sweet Spot palette is giving a nice Holiday Vibe to my desk.

And thank you! I need to redo my roots, but I've gotten so lazy from finals studying. Whooops. Just going to look a bit weird when I go home.

  7. They are so incredibly glowy, but I LOVE it! Especially right now because my skin has been looking more dull for some reason. It's not even that cold or dry where I'm at.

and you're welcome! I was actually going to make it US only since it's my first giveaway, but I changed my mind after I thought about the people who consistently commented. You and some other people have been so sweet that I wanted to give everyone anywhere in the world a chance!

  10. You would think that with this palette... I wouldn't buy blushes for a while, but I just bought NARS Douceur and Hourglass Mood Exposure. I used to never wear blush and now I'm just collecting everything!

Pampered looks like something I would love to wear! I haven't had much luck using the Tarte blushes, but I really want this one now.

    Good luck on the giveaway!
