Review & Swatches: Neutrogena Crease Proof Eyeshadow in #60 Stay Put Plum

Neutrogena Crease Proof Eye Shadow in Stay Put Plum is a sheer silver lavender color with a frosty finish. It contains 2.8 grams of product and comes in a plastic slim tube packaging. This product can also be used as a primer / base to help apply powder eyeshadows. Neutrogena claims that this product will last for 12 hours and the light reflecting pearls will brighten up the eyes. There are also some anti-oxidants in this product to nourish the eye area.

The texture is slightly drier than some other cream shadows like MAC Paintpots and Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows but is not as dry as Maybelline's Color Tattoos. I can apply it directly on my lids and it doesn't drag or pull on my skin. It does "chunk" up if you go over the same places too much, but it is easily blended out by using just your fingers.

The color is beautiful. I can't get over how flattering it is on my eyes and the color will look great on anyone. I don't see my eyes looking any brighter than normal, but it does bring out my brown eyes. The color is like a taupe-y silver lavender and the closest color I have in my collection is EM Cosmetic's Puppies & Kittens (review here), but that shadow isn't as lavender. While testing this eye shadow, it didn't crease or fade on me. I could also apply and blend other products onto this cream shadow.

Final Thoughts: I am so glad that I bought this cream shadow. It's currently my favorite drugstore cream shadow since the packaging is so convenient and the formula just works. Some other stick cream shadows require sharpening, but I like that this one doesn't so I won't waste any of the product.

One swipe / Built up / Built up and blended out

  1. Well who'da thought? I never would have turned to Neutrogena for a convenient eyeshadow stick! But I have to agree it might be a good alternative to pricer options like Laura Mercie caviar sticks. I like that type of taupey-purple tone too, I have eyeshadows in the same exact color :)

    1. Right?! I've been looking for more purple-y colored eye products and there was some coupons and discounts for Neutrogena products so I took a chance with this product. I'm so glad I did though. What's your favorite taupey-purple eye product?
