Frog Prince Lipstick by Lipstick Queen is described as a "magical shade that turns each pair of lips into their perfect pink." I have been interested in Lipstick Queen in awhile and was always eyeing Hello Sailor, but decided to go with Frog Prince mostly because I was intrigued by the green turning into pink. It's not a new concept, but the presentation of the product was instantly convinced me to get it. Frog Prince contains 0.07 ounces of product and retails for $25.
My eyes were full of hearts when I saw this in the tube.
The swatch though - super unimpressive. I took this picture about 30 minutes after the swatch and it does not turn any darker on the hand. The real magic is on the lips.

The consistency of the lipstick is thin, but still moisturizing since it has shea butter and vitamin E. I don't need a separate lip balm when I wear this as well.
In the above and below lip swatch photos, the after shots were taken 10 minutes after application. The color is a dark pink but still natural. I can layer it on and then it turns darker and more fuchsia on me. Once I hit that point, it doesn't change anymore.

One of the things I like about this that it kind of stains my lips in comparison to Dior Addict Lip Glow, another lip product that self adjusts to be the perfect pink. The color I get from Frog Prince does come off my lips if I rub hard on them, but it doesn't transfer when I eat or drink.
The finish isn't quite glossy/wet like what Lipstick Queen says. It's more of just a natural sheen to me? I have Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Essential Lip Care and both these products give me the same sheen on my lips.
In the above picture, the left was taken 10 minutes after application and the right is after 11 hours. The color on the right is what the color ultimately ends up on me. I did reapply 2-3 times afterwards and then just used the Nivea lip balm afterwards for the rest of the day.
There is no smell / fragrance to me. I'm personally okay with scents, but I like to mention it to people with sensitive lips / noses.
The packaging is slightly rubberized and I like how it feels since I feel like it wouldn't just slip out of my hands. I love the contrast between the outside packaging and bullet. It kind of shocks people too when I pull it out to reapply when my lips feel dry.
Final thoughts: I'm utterly in love with this lipstick. I wanted something pink and lowkey to wear to my office for work. The color is more... punchier? sassier? than what I get from Dior Addict Lip Glow (which I also love and will review), but not as moisturizing/thick. The color also stains my lips a bit so that the color won't transfer to other things. Since the color is supposed depend on the individual, I feel like the $25 spent on this might be too much of a risk for some people. Nonetheless, I do like it and have been wearing it everyday. I will repurchase when I run out because it is my favorite out of 3 self-adjusting pink lip products I own.
